The RootStock Foundation.
The RootStock Foundation provides living-ecosystem labs to schools that wish to enhance education in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and works with teachers to achieve Common Core goals with immersive coursework that facilitates better understanding.
To create, design, implement, operate and maintain public works projects for Educational, Charitable, and/or Scientific Purposes to the benefit of the general public and the public interest; and
To provide guidance toward and management of methods and solutions for solving watercentric concerns as they impact people or ecology by any means consistent with the public interest through other activities, including, but not limited to, publications, video and/or film production, meetings, conferences, training, educational seminars, cultural exchange, and the issuance of grants and other financial support to facilitate remedial industry or technology for damage caused by or to water and the ecology or people impacted by same.
(a) The donation of Aquaponic farm labs to schools for educational, scientific and nutritional purposes;
(b) Educate teachers in the operation of Aquaponic farming labs and agricultural activities in general;
(c) Develop Aquaponics?based curriculum to enhance STEM and Core Curriculum outcomes. Initial Targeted Area of Influence: Los Angeles County, grades 3?12
