RISE Arts Collective

Under the consultation of Hank Jones (San Francisco 8) and Gene Washington, Black Panthers, RISE Arts Collective Created this art exhibit:

February 21st - March, 21st, 2014.

We have been blessed to partner with Art Share LA who agreed to house this project in their Downtown, LA Gallery.

Opening reception was Friday, February, 21st (press preview was Wednesday, February 19th).

This historic event is not only an art exhibit, IT IS A FUND-RAISER. About 40 established and up and coming artists have created pieces inspired by the legacy of the Black Panther Party. For this exhibit/fund raiser there is a unique formula: one hundred percent of fees from art sales are split between the artists, the gallery and the Black Panther Party, in support of Black Panther political prisoners and families of members that are in need. This guarantees that a significant amount of money from each sale will reach the people who gave so much for us. We at RISE Arts Collective know how much we have benefited from the hard work of the Black Panther Party; this is the perfect time and opportunity to give back! Augment your collection with historical pieces created specifically for this show, and support our heroes.
